Man From the Daily Mail … lyrics/text?

Does anybody have the lyric sheet for "Man From the Daily Mail". I bought a "collection" type CD of Irish Rebel songs. It lists it as being traditional, but I can’t find any info on it. It’s a great tune, but I can’t understand all the words as the recording quality isn’t the greatest. Does anyone know of this song? Have the lyrics/text for it?

I’ve been trying to find out who wrote this. Every reference I’ve found on the web has it as ‘unknown’.

Anyone know?
