Armagh Pipers' Club

Armagh Pipers' Club

Armagh Pipers Club is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, having been founded in 1966. Dedicated to the development of traditional music, the Club has achieved worldwide acclaim, particularly for its innovative music education programme. APC has been in the forefront of producing teaching materials since the 1970s. Initially set up to promote the playing of uilleann pipes, the Club now caters for a wide range of instrumental music as well as singing.

Congratulations to Brian & Eithne Vallely and all others involved in this work.

Re: Armagh Pipers' Club

Yep, the APC is well worthy of celebration, but, Feargal, you should have plugged the forthcoming WK piping festival! :)

Re: Armagh Pipers' Club

About four years ago I downloaded/printed a tune book -- about 150 tunes and snatches of melody -- that the webmaster of the site claimed was published by and for members of the APC. It wasn't a PDF so it wasn't scanned directly from the book, and I'm not sure if that's the real source. Ever heard of APC publishing a members' club tunebook? The tunes are definitely pipe tunes, many of which I've never heard anywhere else.
