Lark in the clear air...

Lark in the clear air...

Anyone know a song and/or air whose first line is "[A] lark in the clear air..."

Re: Lark in the clear air...

A lark in the clear air
came one day to me side
and asked what would it take
to make him me bride

so I told him "dear lark,
it never would work
since you might be a queer lark"
and he left with a jerk...

or something like that...?

I used to have a friend who played this, and I never learned it. Just had a look at the above. That's it! Cheers Laitch for that link.

Re: Lark in the clear air...

Sunday morning, ten past eight on RTE Radio 1 is where you hear the 'Lark in the Clear Air', methinks. Signature tune of Mo Cheoil Thu.
