I’m a fiddler originally from a small town in Alabama. I did a Florida State Folk Division fiddle apprenticeship with fiddler and accordion player Ed Keeney RIP formerly of Ardara, Co. Donegal, Ireland in 1996. I compiled an Irish tunebook of tunes Ed taught me as well as tunes that are played at the various Tallahassee, Fl sessions. I was the Irish Ensemble director at FSU’s College of Music’s Ethnomusicology Dept. from 2000 ‘til 2007. I currently teach fiddle at Gordon’s String Music in Tallahassee, Fl. My husband Gordon Scott and I started the First Saturday Irish Session at The Warehouse Pub in 1992 still on-going. We also host the 4th Sunday Irish Session at Finnegan’s Wake Irish Pub in Midtown Manor in Tallahassee, Fl each month. Our website is www.gordonsstringmusic.com
