This session has been running for about 2 1/2 years, and is a friendly, welcoming group that varies in size from a core of five (fiddles, mandolin, tenor banjo, Scottish smallpipes, tinwhistle, irish pipes, guitar) to over 20 some evenings, which can be quite fun, or chaotic, depending on how well the musicians can hear each other! The session usually gets going at around 9 p.m., and tends to be a combination of Irish (mostly), Scottish and some Cape Breton tunes….we also have some wonderful singers/guitarists, as well as some excellent Irish dancers from time to time. Beginners are welcome, as long as they are into learning the tunes!
