I’m not in the habit of submitting self-composed tunes here, but I’m making an exception this time as I’m dedicating this tune to Tom Dee.
Tom - originally from Co. Kerry, Eire - was a Roman Catholic friar during his working life, but now lives in Bristol, England.
Tom is a popular and larger-than-life figure at most of the Bristol sessions, entertaining the musicians and the customers with his humour and energetic step-dancing.

Thank God it’s Friar Dee
Thank God it’s Brother Dee?
I’ve just been informed by member "lazyhound" that Tom was a Roman Catholic "brother" - not a friar.
Nonetheless, I reckon that I’ll stick with my original title … ;-)

"Friar" derives, through French, from the Latin "frater" meaning "brother". So "friar" is close enough.
Anyway, having a tune named after you could be the first step on the long road to canonisation :-)
