This a fun jig from Donald Angus Beaton in the key of F major, which is rather uncommon in traditional Irish/Scottish/Cape Breton music. Sheet music from http://www.celticmusiccentre.com/collections/dab/tunes/brookside_hall.jpg. You can here Kinnon Beaton play it at http://www.celticmusiccentre.com/collections/dab/tunes/Brookside_Hall-KB.mp3.

Brookside Hall
Today is Cape Breton day it seems
Hi,
Funny that you’ve submitted all these Donald Angus tunes and just now I added a march from Dan Hughie MacEachern. I’m an enormous fan of both; have tried 3 times to bid on used copies of Donald Angus’s 70s LP on eBay over the years, to no avail. The Live at the House CD of him and the Missuses is one of my favorite fiddling recordings.
