Another great tune from Daniel Payne’s album Chain. This one comes from an accordion player, Mrs. Belle Fennelly of Newfoundland; it was collected by Christina Smith and I learned it from Gerry Strong. The low C#s make it a bit awkward for a D whistle, but I’m really digging it played on my A whistle.
Here’s Danny Mills playing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5vNV6MOHTM
