Davy Spillane’s performance of the second half of Titanic from the Live in Dublin CD & DVD. From what little detail I can hear it repeats much the same when Davy "duels" with Keith Donald on saxophone. Wonderful stuff!

A Breton In Paris

I was asked if I would show Davy Spillane’s live version with all its ornamentation second so this is it. The first version is without trappings. Note that Davy slides up to the high G note in bars 2,3,6,10,11 & 14 but I haven’t yet found a way to show that.

You can find a really good version by Padraig Rynne in the album "Live in Belfast"with Paul Bradley and Paul Meehan.The 5th tune in a wonderful set called Breton in Paris / Deisil. Breton in Paris is followed by the reel Not safe with a razor and Garrett Barry’s reel . Anyone knows who composed this first tune?
