Miss Richard’s

A tune that I heard played by a fiddler at a pub session in the "Queen Victoria" (Priddy, Somerset, England) last night.

I gather that it’s from the Thomas Hardy manuscript.

It’s played undotted.

???

Hmm … Some hornpipes (like this one) are always played "undotted" and my abc submission reflects this. However, when I click the "midi" button , the tune is played "dotted".

Why?

Me: "I gather that it’s from the Thomas Hardy manuscript."

Confirmed - it’s from the Thomas Hardy manuscript (1800).
