A hornpipe composed by the late Arthur Scott Robertson of Shetland. This is taken from a recording as I no longer have his books. It may differ from the printed version. It’s one of those Bb (had to submit is as G minor, due to there being no Bb major option here) hornpipes that some players like to pull out of the bag at times. It illustrates the different discipline that Scott Robinson came from compared with most other Shetland fiddlers.
On the recording, he played this after The College and the Rocket.
The subject, is/was a very dexterous Orcadian musician (box player, as well as other instruments), who worked for "the brew" (DHSS back then) in Kirkwall for some years. I can imagine Adrian playing this.
