Black Cat reel

I happened across John Chamber’s ABC transcription of this French-Canadian reel, began playing it, and have become quite fond of the tune. It’s a good dance tune, with unexpected cross-bowings throughout. It sounds good in the key of A as well.

I noticed that there are no renditions of the tune on Youtube, and during my thirty years of fiddle-playing I’ve never run across it. Time for a revival, perhaps!
