Reel Gan Ainm

This "reel" - it has a 6/8 bar (at least this is how I made it do the math) to throw it off a bit, has some nice syncopation and is the third tune of a set which starts with a strathspey on Anna Murray’s Tri Nithean album:
Chùir I Glùin Air A’ Bhodaich
Thoir A-Null Ailean Thugam
Reel Gan Ainm
In And Out The Harbour
the first and last tunes are already on this site and I’ll get the second on soon. It leads well into In and out the Harbour

Reel Gan Ainm

Hello, ailsaview. It’s an interesting tune, but I don’t think there is a 6/8 bar (or a 3/4 bar) in it, so I’ve taken the liberty of submitting another setting as I hear it - no offence intended.

I’m also a mandolin player, but I haven’t led as interesting a life as you!

Failing grade in math

No, I’m sure you’re right. I’m a novice at this and must have missed a couple of notes there. Thanks and hope to do better. Interesting life? Well, the Chinese have something to say about living in interesting times. ‘Nuff said…
