"The East Anglian tune ‘Pony Trot Polka’, based on the dulcimer playing of Billy Bennington from Norfolk."

I plan to add at least one more transcription ~ in another key and with swing… ;-)

S: Billy Bennington, hammered dulcimer, Norfolk

This is an amalgamation of some of the things the wonderful Billy Bennington does with his hammers. WOW! It was difficult pulling it out, all that sustain, but a lot of fun to listen to, and that’s from someone who has had bad experiences with hammered dulcimer players, akin to bodhran bashers ~ some of them. ;-) It ain’t perfect, but I did spend quite a bit of time trying to pull together as much as possible to make sense of it. Yes, he does double those parts. I’ll do a transposition later and try to include some of the other fun he has with this one.
