Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee

My transcription is taken directly from the handwritten tunebook of the late Hugh Blake (box player).

Hugh didn’t cite his source of the tune, but I assume (from the title) that it would date to circa 1897.

Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee

Irish tune? Maybe Scottish. "Victoria the Famine Queen, she starved the Irish from fat to lean."

Appears in several Highland pipe books as a polka.
