“Peter Piper Picked A Peck Of Pickled Peppers”

It originally came a little simpler and in B Dorian, but as the title popped into mind, with regards to an uilleann piper friend, I’ve given it in a key he’s happier with, just a step down. In the two transcriptions I’ve given some simple variations. I’ll also dig out the original transcription sent as a text to him and consider adding that too, for comparison. I’ve also listed a few possible alternate titles for this, and for Pete’s sake too.

Have been enjoying being out and about in Ireland, mostly the Northwest. I think we need to move back there. ;-)

X: 3 = the original text sent to the piper in question…

Enjoying this a lot!

Thanks for sharing it! Dare I admit to playing the B part in mix?

And why not, eh? :-D

For peck sake….

That is a LOT of octave jumping for poor Peter’s pickled pipes…he’ll have his hands full! :-P

He must have G# key on his chanter…

There are also some interesting cross fingering possibilities, and halving it of course. Why would I want to make it too easy for the piper? :-P
