Hornpipe

I learned this tune as a hornpipe under the name of "The Rose of Tralee" in a local session. The hornpipe has also the name of "The Tidy Girleen" .

Comments

All the above comments are interesting to me because I find the tune has a distinctly Scottish "feel" to it and, incidentally, it is marked as a "slide" on Bothy Band’s first album. I can see well how it could fit a hornpipe interpretation.
