Dezi Donnelly

This is the first tune of track 5 on Familiar Footsteps album by Dezi Donnelly. Maybe someone can put a name to it. Dezi gives the origin of the tune as being Paddy Ryan - Roscommon fiddle player.

I will sumbit the second tune in the set when I am allowed :)

Paddy Ryan’s Nightmare

I found the title of this tune a while back but couldnot trace back to its listing here under Gan Ainm. Now Thanks to Reverend’s ABC search I found it and can now give it the title. I don’t know what authority this title has but I see it listed as such in the Cobb collection of abc’s.

Paddy Ryan’s Nightmare/Paddy Kenny’s

The X:2 setting above is from Teada’s recent album ‘Ainneoin na Stoirme’ (In Spite of the Storm, 2013). They call it "Paddy Kenny’s" and they got it "…from fiddler Paddy Ryan during a Scoil Eisge workshop in Sligo in 1990, with Paddy himself learning the tune from Ballinameen, Co Roscommon fiddler, Paddy Kenny…"
