Kilfenora reel

I got this from the Moher CD, "Over the Edge." It’s a fun tune to launch into at a session because everyone will think you’re playing "Speed the Plough" at first. Then they realize something’s different and enjoy the quirkiness of the tune. It’s great craic to play and gives you a fun ride in the second part.

Warning

Oh… I forgot to add that when they realize you’re not playing "Speed the Plough"… beware of projectiles.

The B-part’s a little bit like "O’Connell’s Trip To Parliament" as well. There’s a little hint of "Out On The Ocean" there too :-)

Your brain is out on the ocean

You’re never going to succeed at winding me up, Dow. Why don’t you just relax by trying to play this tune like a hornpipe.

Another Setting

From Josephine Keegan’s "A Drop In The Ocean". She gives it the name Johnny Coyle’s.

Great… now I have a better name for it. Cheers!
