This has nothing whatever to do with the similarly-named reel “Hand Me Down The Tackle”. It comes from the "Gunn Collection", and appears on the 2nd “Hidden Fermanagh” CD, where it is played on accordion with fiddle double-tracked, I think, by Catherine Dunne. I have to admit, it’s a tune which defeats me, the “G#s” being just too awkward, but I thought I’d post it for all you lucky people going to the festival in Derrygonnelly.
Hand Me Down The Tacklings
I fell in love with that tune the first time I heard it on the "Hidden Fermanagh II". Playing a naked pipes chanter (without keys) I was really sad as I realised it was in A. So I will learn it in G and remain a wannabe.
