Juniper Hill

This is another tune from the Joshua Jackson collection, It’s another one which sounds very familar yet I can’t find it here, by name, key or note string. But no doubt someone will point me in right direction if I’m wrong. This one is JMS 59 and is annotated with the dance steps which I’ll add if anoyone is interested :-)

Well, start stepping!

Hey, is Joshua a personal friend of yours Andy, or some distant relative? ;-)

This one is very familiar, but I don’t think it is here yet… I think I might have stumbled across it at Cecil Sharp house in London, or more likely Oxfordshire ~ or some Playfordish happening elsewhere. It’s a nice little ditty. Thanks for the memory, even if it was of a ‘stumbling’…

I heard it played beautifullyat the English Country Music Weekend 2010 the other day. The melodeon player said it was in Barry Callaghan’s Hardcore English tune book. Must learn it
