The Maid’s Complaint

X:5 from a recording of Belfast fiddler Leo Gimley. Years ago someone asked here for info on Leo, a relative I believe; they said he played with orchestras and the like. On my tape he played with the McPeakes and was backed up by a harp on this very interesting tune, which he simply termed "An Old Munster Jig." Finally bothering to play along with the recording I see he was playing in C, I’ve always played this in D and transcribed it in that key. For variety Leo played double stops on the first notes of the 1st bar of the 1st part - [d2A2] [dA] [A2F2] etc.
