This tune shows up in the Chieftains "The Celtic Harp" album on Track 7. They put the Sonny Brogan mazurkas in a medley with it, and it really sounds nice. A great tune!

"Played to death in the early 1970's I know, especially by every wannabe whistle player. Worse still it was used on TV during THAT football season. I am aware this sends shivvers up many spines for all the wrong reasons. It is still a brilliant tune though, and there is a whole new generation have grown up who have no bad associations to go with it. As a tune for three or more whistles to play together, yes with percussion, just classic."

Alternate tuning on fiddle
Has anyone tried playing this on a fiddle tuned DDAD rather than GDAE? I was just mucking around and gave it a try, droning down one string from whichever I was playing on the A section and droning up for the B. The richness is amazing.
