Drummond Castle
A gorgeous scottish jig taught to me by a great musician / composer and fantastic classical / folk guitarist, Mark McGrath, from Kilkenny. I think it is in Kerr's book of Scottish tunes too. Hope you all enjoy it.

Heard this introduced By the Cunningham Bros..
as a tune "about a castle, in Drummond".
The commentary was hilarious.

Drummond Castle played differently
Wendy Stewart (of Ceolbeg fame) has done a fantastic arrangement of this wonderful tune. (On her About Time or About Time 2 Album) She plays it very slowly - and it becomes a haunting air. Superb! Try it!

Drummond Castle
A totally great tune - it goes well with Stool of Repentance to give a minor/major pair. Dave Oliver has propagatedit throughthe North-east. Its so good its been adopted as Northumbrian, the ultimate accolade.

Ceolbeg
Regarding ceolbeg, I am in the rather fortunate situation of seein and hearing Barbara Dymock every so often at our local session, she is now part of a new band "Fon A Bhord", featuring some awesome talent and who are shortly releasing a new album:

She is a really great singer and one of the founding members of Ceolbeg. I'm also currently situated in her Palliative Care department, learning medicine here in Dundee.
