New Mown Meadows

A great reel, and reputedly a close cousin of "The Silver Spear". Sometimes played half an octave lower, but I think this is the more common version nowadays. Seems popular on all instruments, as it's been recorded by Sean Keane, Kevin Burke, Noel Hill and Brian Hughes, to name just 4.

Threepenny Bit

This was "The Threepenny Bit" to Francis O'Neill. It's played in more than one key.

Might be more common in this key in your area, Kenny, but I only ever hear it in Edor.

Ador/Edor ?

Ador / Edor - I'm not too much bothered, one way or the other, Dow. As for how it's played in "my area", at a guess there are only another 2 or possibly 3 musicians within a 50 mile radius who play it at all.
I'm able to check through 10 or so of the recordings listed - I'll get back to you about what keys they play the tune in, just out of interest.

The 2nd part reminds me of Anderson's http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/1631, especially when you play it in the key posted here.

Here's the version that gets played here:

Why not on the fiddle? I've heard Denis Murphy and Julia Clifford play a great version of this on the radio.
