Thanks, Kenny. I'm trying to learn the local version of the tune and transcribe it. It's mistakenly called Tommy Peoples' in Leeds. I listened to the sample track of "Traditional Irish Music from London" some months ago and found they play it as Martin McMahon’s.

does this Matt Peoples really exist or was it a kind of joke between Matt Molloy and Tommy Peoples when recording the album?

Matt Peoples'
No joke. Matt Peoples is an uncle of Matt Molloy, unless I am mistaken.

Matt Peoples
While staying in Ennis, I heard Matt People's Reel #1 was composed by Siobhan Peoples for M. Molloy and T. Peoples. If it's true, this reel can be her composition too.

For me the evidence would have to be a lot more convincing than just "I heard someone say..." Great tunes though, both of them.

Thanks for the correction. But "someone" told me that Siobhan herself insisted she composed #1. I don't think the info is very reliable, though.

In an interview published in spring 2004 in Fiddler Magazine

Siobhan stated she was thirty-one years of age. This means she must be born around 1973.
Matt Peoples' reels on Molloy/Brady/Peoples were recorded in February 1977. Well, I know some musicians start early ...
