McElvougue's?

This one was written out by Bill Black a few years ago and published in Treoir.
He credits it as written by Joanie Madden.

Where is it known as McElvougue's?

Also on . . .

Tulach Boylan's "Tidy Cottage" CD as "Brid Harper's".

Set of Jigs?

Does anyone know what tune is normally played after this tune?

Over in another tune, garyfritz123 says this jig commonly gets paired with Paddy Cronin's (http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/4598) in Fermanagh.

But I've heard this jig strung next to any number of other tunes--no set-in-stone pairing.

Cherish the Ladies

I just saw Cherish the Ladies perform this tune live. It sounded fantastic. Joanie Madden introduced the tune as her composition, titled The Cat's Meow. They did it by itself three times through with different instrumentation each time.

Slightly different phrasing

I just wrote this jig down from a recording of a session with Tony Linnane and Dermot Byrne. Not knowing the title, I sent it in, so it´ll probably be removed again shortly, as a duplicate. However, the phrasing is slightly different in the version I wrote down. Here it is, for those who might have an interest:

Another name

also known as Wallop the spot

Pardon?

Have you double-checked the info?

Think about it...

Nothing to do with "Wallop The Spot". Why would Joannie Madden give her composition 2 titles, especially since there's a much older jig by that name ?
I also see that some eejit has given it the alternative title "The Mystery Reel". That's crap, and should be removed. Also, there is still no justification for calling it "McElvougue's".
