This is my first tune submission!!!
WARNING: This tune is really in Bflat but this option is not available when submitting the tune on the website so I entered it as g minor.
Here is some more ABC info on this tune

N:On this CD, Carignan plays this tune in a medley with the Rights of Man, Liverpool Hornpipe, College Hornpipe ending with The Bridge of Athlone. Carignan ends the tune by replaying the first part and replacing the two last bars by these one | (3Bdc (3BAG (3FGF (3EDC | B,2 A,2 B,4 ||
I like this version of the Bridge of Athlone in Bb. I really like the part where the 2 accidental B come back to normal. For me, the hardest part to play were the series of 1/16 notes in the 5th and 13th bar followed by the Eb. I think this is a particularity of Carignans playing. Notice that I also included the harmonies for the last 3 notes of the sentence. I think it is pretty (to hear).
So, that is it! A big thanks to ceolachan and the folks that responded me in the discussion section of this website helping me with ABC format!!! It was the first time I wrote ABC music, let’s do it again!

First flat on sheet music!
Looking at the sheet music, I think the first flat should be on B!!!

Anytime...my pleasure...
If 'Button' alias Jack wonders this way ~ I did argue your side in your absence, and I warned about the midi exaggerating things. I gave Carabus 'free choice' to dzong & dzing, or 'dinxter' as you put it, or not...
You've done better than most on your first try Carabus. I've been stopping in here regularly waiting for the tune to show. Nice work...and a fun tune. I like he differences in it from the norm. I take it that you transcribed it from Jean Carignan's playing, fine stuff. PLEASE enter the disk information under 'Recordings'. 3 CDs of his fiddling ~ amazing...

Apologies ~ I shouldn't have cut-and-pasted that from an email, it is way off right and didn't line up correctly either. Why does email sometimes do strange things to stuff, or should I take full blame. I'll be back with it corrected and also straight for Jack...

Where did that ~ c>fa> ~ come from? See Carabus, you did better than I did...
Now I need to see if I can get an ear full of the master, Carignan, playing this one...

AAAAA!!! ~ O'Neill's take three + ~ for my sins, Mea Culpa!!!
Still a mess ~ but I'm not going to do it bar by bar as I started to do, which would be really nuts... I know I should have gotten more sleep last night... I've some drink in me, and I cut-and-pasted from a bad copy.
Here is the correction, and for penance I'll give it in G Major afterwards, swung and for Jack straight too... Sorry Carabus, see, you shouldn't ABC and drink at the same time, especially after a bad night... Bad measures/bars above include, A-part, 2 especially, and 7 in the B-part, and missing accidentals, I am wincing as I just played through that awful cut-and-paste above. This is what lack of sleep, drink and dyslexia does to you...and trusting someone else's notes, someone other than Carabus... Though, I am quite merry, so the drink has had positive effects...

"The Bridge of Athlone" ~ G Major
The low B, can easily and cleanly be replaced with the octave up, for whistles and fluters and folks who can't dip that low. If you've an F instrument then the fingering for the following will put it in Bb...

Accidentals hiding in the mist ~
Yeah, go ahead, cast your aspersions and invectives, yeah, I know, the B-part, measure/bar 3, I still missed it, so, just that measure:

It's a hot spiced punch and I'm going back for more. I just hope I don't end up burning my nose or my mustache and beard. I've now quadruple checked this, on four different instruments, including one's I play very badly, especially under the influence... That should be it. I promise now to stay away from the Internet for the rest of the night. I think I'll have a mincepie with the punch, to soak up some of the alcohol...
