It sounds nice in D but doesn't lie under the fingers as naturally for me. Was there any particular reason you wanted to play it in D?

"St. Andrews" ~ another rescued duplication ~ in F

This one ~ was played a lot in sessions in Durham (UK) back in the Seventies. I think it was in one of the Bulmer-Sharpley tunebooks, which were used a lot, as a "Gan Ainm" tune. At any rate, it was always played in F Major, so I've entered it here thus, just in case it's one of those odd tunes like Julia Delaney that is conventionally always played in some less usual key.
