Pronunciation

Pronunciation

As some of you may know, I’m doing a project for school on ITM and its history. While doing so, i’ve run across a few "interesting" terms in Gaelic. Sadly, I don’t speak Gaelic. I wish I did, but I also with I could read ancient Egyptian, and that’s probably not going to happen either. Below is a short list if any of you Gaelic people (or just those who know how to prounounce them) could help me out.

Bodhran- bow RAHN?
Uilleann- ILL-yun?
Feadog Stain (tin whistle) - I have no idea
Sto’Vo’Kor - kidding, it’s Klingon

Re: Pronunciation

bodhran= bow(like the bow of a ship)ron
Uilleann= ill-in
Feadog Stain= fad-owg stawn

good luck with your project

Re: Pronunciation

that’ll probably be better because my phonetic typing isn’t that great.

Re: Pronunciation
