BANJO STOLEN-Damien O’Kane’s

Please pass this messgage on from Damien:
Message from Damien:

Hi People,
I had my tenor banjo stolen last night (Tuesday 9th Oct) in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, the Quayside. It is a rare instrument made by Phil Davidson, made from birds eye maple with a celtic design on the back of the neck at the body and it has my nickname ‘dee’ inlayed at the back of the neck behind the celtic design. Please pass the word around as much as poss.

Thanks, Damien

Gotta second that - works everytime.

Re: BANJO STOLEN-Damien O’Kane’s

Damien - Less than an hour ago I was just listening to ‘Fishing With Calum’ with a friend of mine and we were just commenting on how lovely the banjo (and your playing) sounded. I sincerely hope it comes back to you somehow. Don’t know what the chances are of it turning up in Mid Wales, but I’ll keep an eye out.

Stolen Banjo - keep yer eyes peeled!

BEWARE! - Thieving Bas_ _ rds are about again!

Damien O’ Kane, who actually comes from this neck of the woods, the Triangle area of the Causeway Coast, had his tenor banjo stolen recently in Newcastle! 🙁

It is a rare instrument, made by Phil Davidson, from birds eye maple with a celtic design on the back of the neck at the body and it has his nickname ‘dee’ inlayed at the back of the neck, behind the celtic design.

Keep yer eyes peeled folks!

Re: Stolen Banjo - keep yer eyes peeled!

Not to give Newcastle a bad name, but it seems like it’s a place where you have to watch out. Two boxes were stolen there recently as well.
(one was put up for auction on E-bay, with a Tyneside address !)

Re: Stolen Banjo - keep yer eyes peeled!

Does anyone know whether John McSherry’s pipes have turned up yet?
