John Spiers’ Traditional Melodeon DVD

John Spiers’ Traditional Melodeon DVD

Does anyone have this DVD, and if so what do you reckon to it?
I’ve just found it on eBay, and being a big fan of his I was thinking of buying it. Any feedback much appreciated.

Re: John Spiers’ Traditional Melodeon DVD

If I were a fan of a particular player I’d certainly be inclined to buy his CDs/DVDs.

Re: John Spiers’ Traditional Melodeon DVD

The DVD is filmed at one of his workshops and contains some elementary sections as well as some more advanced sections on reharmonising tunes on the D/G in John’s style.

John is a good teacher (I’ve attended his workshops) and puts some thought into teaching his particular style of playing. So as lazyhound says if you like john’s playing on a D/G box you’ll find it very useful.

a B/Cbox player would probably nothing of use in this DVD (IMHO)

hope this helps

Thanks Phil,

That’s sort of what I’d anticipated, but it’s nice to have it confirmed.
