Names for Two Reels .. Please?

Names for Two Reels .. Please?

Someone is looking for the names of the two Reels on this video … being too long in the tooth now, I had to say I didn’t remember, but I knew you guys wouldn’t let him down! 😉

N.B. We only get 7 secs of the 2nd Reel … it starts at 2.15

Re: Names for Two Reels .. Please?

The first one is called Crowley’s Reel, plus a whole other slew of names. You can find it over at https://thesession.org/tunes/281, except in the video they play it in Dm instead of Em (well, it’s actually D dorian, but close enough).

I can’t help you with the second tune, but as it is, I’m just excited that I finally was able to identify a tune for someone on The Session. 🙂

In the last few seconds, they go into Mulhaire’s No.1.

Re: Names for Two Reels .. Please?

Oops, scrub that, it’s not Mulhaire’s played in C, is it? More like a straightened-out version of Andy McGann’s.

Re: Names for Two Reels .. Please?

I have the second tune in my head, it’s driving me nuts. I think the B part starts like this, perhaps someone can pin it down from this fragment.
