Tune Name Mystery Solved

Remember that Yvonne Casey tune some of us were dying to know the name of a while back?

I just heard it on Tuesday October 19th’s Westwind archive (right around 1:20:00) - a different musician - turns out it’s Paddy Fahey’s Hornpipe. :-)

Thanks, Kenny, it was a great day, and the celebration starts today, with lots of music, of course, and I like my new number.

Meanwhile, I’m comparing Yvonne’s playing with the version from WW, also the sheet music, and while the form is basically the same- especially the A part - I had broken down Yvonne’s version to 4 parts, but the tune itself, according to the notes, is only two parts.

I’ve either mistaken the tune, or Yvonne is adding variations, making two parts sound like four, or…?
I suppose there are a zillion versions of Paddy Fahey’s Hornpipe.
