tune search query

tune search query

i was looking for a tune i got off a natalie macmaster disk (she indicates it is an irish tune in the liner notes); councelor’s. i started typing the name and, as sometimes happens (i thought it was only if i had searched that title before), the title filled itself in for me before i finished. ok, so far, i accept the magic. but then, when i hit search, it came up with ‘no match found’! now that’s just weird. how would it know to finish the title if i hadn’t tried it before, and it wasn’t in the database???

Re: tune search query

You were looking for a tune you’ve already got? I don’t understand

Re: tune search query

It’s magic, you will probably need to provide thesession.org detectives a little bit more info..

You were searching where (eg google, thesession.org, Tunepal ) and what was the tune name

Re: tune search query

hmph — when i type in the name; ‘councelor’s’, i get no match. but when i copy&paste the name, it gets me there. the mystery remains, but i can accept that. thanks though, richard.

Theirlandais, i was searching the tune base, tune name: ‘councelor’s’

llig, i often check tunes i know here, looking for comments about the history of the tune, composer, etc.

thanks all.

Re: tune search query
