please name this tune

Its a tune we are playing in the Redheughers ceilidh band but no-one knows its name. It sounded familiar when I first heard it. Ive done the usual searches online with no success, possibly its not in its original key. I’d be really grateful if you can tell me its name.

Re: please name this tune

Could be a 6/8 march – it sounds very Scottish and not very jiggy, if you know what I mean – in which case it would be in A. It sounds familiar to me, too, but I can’t name it I’m afraid.

Re: please name this tune

Could be Scottish - but could be English - Northe East especially. If you haven’t already, it may be worthwhile going through the FARNE archive and sifting through the 6/8 tunes.
Chances are you’ll come across a great tune in your travels and this tune will be set aside for a while.
part of the fun.
