I have put up some own comps on YouTube - nicholas

After prolonged wrestling with the computer and YouTube, I have managed to put up a video comprising a few of my own tunes along with a slideshow.

The urls I found or have been given for it have to date been rejected by my search box, but the following tag, typed in the search box and clicked, should bring up my video immediately:

Nick Till Tunes 1

Brief details about tunes, etc., are under the vid. The tunes are all accessible in or from my profile/username (nicholas), whether as sheetmusic or in ABC.

I must add, there may be a worm in the bud. I converted music pieces done on the Forte program into MP3s to make them more transmissible, but did so on a free Mp3 converter which I believe has a bad rap for malware of this or that kind. ‘Free Mp3 Wma Converter V2.1’ is what this calls itself, and the company that issues it is: http://www.koyotesoft.com/

Sure enough I’ve been getting, since about the time I installed this, words coming up here and there in on-screen texts that are highlighted or underlined or dimmed to grey, their occurrence being to no obvious pattern. Such words generate adverts that pop up if you click them or indeed bring the pointer near them, and are hard to zap.

I simply haven’t yet got round to changing my Mp3 converter. In the meantime, it may not be a good idea to download this video - that is, if it carries bugs that are transmittable through this. Otherwise, and in other respects, I’d say, by all means download it if you wish!

Nick - clever you! I am listening to your tunes right now and enjoying them too. I won’t download them on to my ‘Music FB’ page as you warn against it. But my fiddle teacher is always on at me to pick up things ‘without dots’, which I do & have done fairly easily, so I think I will pick one of yours to work on & surprise him. :)
My husband’s out shopping, but I’ll tell him when he returns & he’ll be so pleased.
Thank you, and very best wishes,
Your friends from Durham…

Lovely! I was going to plump for one of the hornpipes but have been beguiled by The Uplift! :)
I’m a nit-wit - have just realised that you probably didn’t mean one couldn’t download the YouTube video safely. Sorry. Luckily, I’m married to an IT specialist so will check with The Pianist when he returns from hunter-gathering, then download to FB & get to work…
Thanks, Nick & SmashTheWindows

Great stuff, I particularly like the first and last of the tunes. Keep up the great work!

I have put the key details of this video, i.e. the tunelist, up on my Profile page at:

If I do any more YouTube videos, I’ll do the same with them.
