I’m coming from Dublin on the train and it looks like to bus to Miltown Malbay doesn’t run on Sunday. Anyone else going that way and can either give me a ride or would like to share a cab would be much appreciated. Instead of taking the train to Ennis I could also go to Limerick or Galway.
The Bus Eirreann journey planner on their website doesn’t seem to work that far ahead. You can be sure there will be extra buses for the start of the Willie week. Just give them a call and ask.
I think the first time I went I caught the ‘regular’ Ennis -Miltown bus - and it takes a rather long roundabout route.
The following year, I had discovered that there were ‘direct’ extra buses laid on during Willie week - so look for these.
It’s just over 20 miles from Ennis to Miltown.
Back in 1999 I paid IR£20 for a taxi. In 2003 I cycled.
I’d recommend a taxi, and budget about €40-50 for it.
Obviously check before you get into it.
