"i recently bought a brand new scott cao violin it works great."
Is it the same violin you have the "dodgy" tailpiece for?
>>"I have a Pusch tailpiece with four built-in fine tuners. I really like it, but it just has one thing wrong with it, the tuner for the e-string hits the top of my violin and the screw is’nt even down all of the way!"

To?m,
Yes it is.
It can’t work that great then.
Are you talking about the tailpiece or the violin?
The tailpiece developed a very annoying rattle last night which turned out to be in the fine tuners, so we took that tailpiece (Pusch) and put the old one back on.It’s still under the return policy (30 days) so I can return it and get my money back. YAY!
Do you have a local luthier that will check the set-up?
Why are the fine tuners rattling ? It can only be something mechanical. I know some people are not mechanically minded, but it should be easily sortable.
Pete,
I’m not mechanically minded but my dad is and he looked at it and he couldn’t figure it out.
