Re: Seamus Heaney

"Famous for his deeds/a warrior may be, but it remains a mystery/where his life will end, when he may no longer/dwell in the mean-hall among his own."
Smooth sailing, Seamus.

Re: Seamus Heaney

never forget readin this at School in English - from ‘Mid Term Break’

Wearing a poppy bruise on his left temple,
He lay in the four foot box as in his cot.
No gaudy scars, the bumper knocked him clear.

A four foot box, a foot for every year.

Re: Seamus Heaney
