Re: Fiddle dealers

Hi there, I’m really not sure about Inverness area, but I know an excellent fiddle maker by the name of Paul Bradley, who studied at the Newark School of violin-making: http://www.paulbradley.org - Not only is Paul a fine fiddle maker, but he’s also an excellent player and plays with the band na Dorsa: http://www.dorsa.com - Paul is from County Armagh in the North of Ireland, but is based in Galway now. Paul has also recently been touring with County Clare concertina player Padraig Rynne and Paul Meehan on guitar. Paul can be contacted by phone on (00353) 87 610 2030 outside the Republic of Ireland or you can e-mail Paul at: paulbradleyireland@yahoo.com

Hope this is of help to you!

Re: Fiddle dealers

I’ve just bought a lovely refurbished fiddle from Charlie Webster (‘Fit as a Fiddle’) at Abriachan (off the A82 a few miles south of Inverness). His phone number is 01463 861 214. There’s also a guy called Alan Beavitt who makes very fine violins who lives at Scorraig near Dundonnell. His phone number is 01854 633 293.

Hope this is helpful!
