Available Again: Kevin Crehan’s Classic Solo Fiddle CD

"An Bhábóg sa Bhádóg," the classic and long out-of-print CD of unaccompanied West Clare tunes rendered by fiddler Kevin Crehan, is now available again at Custys. Delicious clip of hornpipes with their listing on the Custys site.

This recording is packed with exquisite fiddle playing in the achy West Clare style of Bobby Casey and Junior Crehan, on Junior Crehan compositions and other repertoire traditional in Junior Crehan’s parish in West Clare, as absorbed by Kevin Crehan from his grandfather, Junior Crehan, and his father, concertina player Tony Crehan, as well as from up-close exposure to the playing of Bobby Casey. Not to be missed.

I’m posting at this point under "Discussions" since people post there from time to time asking how to get this recording.

I hadn’t listened to that CD in a long while. I am doing so now and remembering how good it is. Glad to hear it is available again. Kevin spent some time here in the Cincinnati, OH area years ago and gave our music a boost.
