Pubs in Ireland with rooms to rent, that have sessions.

Pubs in Ireland with rooms to rent, that have sessions.

I’m planning a trip to Ireland this January.
I have two weeks.
My first week I hope to pipe in sessions every night!
My second week, I plan on wintercamping in Dingle, near the mountains.
I have friends there, and I am excited to visit.
If there’s any sessions with rooms anywhere in County Clare, Kerry, or Galway. That would be great.
Playing till I drop, then staying at the same place would be so nice!
Thanks for any help.

John Benny’s Pub on the Strand in Dingle has rooms to rent. I’ve stayed there many times and the accommodations are superb. http://www.johnbennyspub.com/

If you can find a session in Killarney then you in all liklyhood have found accommodation. Bucklys Bar and The Grand Bar are both hotel bars. Murphys Bar also offers accommodation. Contact them direct to make sure sessions are running.

John Benny’s isn’t a ‘session’ pub as such. More a ‘two musicians through a PA’ pub. Although the musicians will invariably be outstanding.

Excellent news! Thanks for the help!
Can’t wait for my trip!

There will be a session at John Benny’s at least once a week but there is a session a night in Dingle (at least) and one of them is a very nice session next door at the Marina. O’Flaherty’s, Dick Mack, and a number of other pubs have sessions and John Benny will know when and where. That (and the food) are other reasons to stay there.

You could try the Bridge Bar in Portmagee on a Sunday night.
