Hip Hop Track with (irish) flute sample

Hip Hop Track with (irish) flute sample

I remember a hip hop track shared here, with an Irish flute sample.

It was by a fairly well known US act as far as I know.

Does anyone know what it is?

Thanks!

Beatboxing and free forming at sessions is surely old hat by now.

Re: Hip Hop Track with (irish) flute sample

Unfortunately Using the included Search function at the top of thesession.org for hip hop does not show it up - just a past endeavor from a lesser known artist.

This track was definitely shared about a year or two ago on thesession but it was by a quite famous artist - and it was of a top level production value.

I know that there is a dip into hip hop art forms among a number of trad artists - but this was a different way around - a hip hop artist sampling an irish flute to make a beat.

It was a big US hip hop track…. with a fully produced music video…

Well worth finding - I’m sure not just for me.

I think a lot of the comment in the other post on GRY’s music were based on listening to the wrong tracks.

Try this one of his playing Out on the Road and the Mooncoin. It’s good.

Are you thinking of Timbaland and Magoo? The track might have been on the Indecent Proposal album; I’ll check it later.
