No wonder. Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen (the fiddler) is member of Dreamer’s Circus, a danish swedish folkgroup.

So, IS he a classical player? To my ears, it just sounded “Scandinavian”. Maybe I have to listen again.

Well, he’s got a very good classical bow hold, and is playing in 3rd and 4th pos a lot of the time.
Anyway, I looked him up and I found this : “concert master of Copenhagen Philharmonic, teacher at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, violinist in the Danish String Quartet and a well known soloist in Denmark.”
Yep, sounds totally Scandinavian to me too!
