"swinging" set with the Wonder Hornpipe ?

"swinging" set with the Wonder Hornpipe ?

Hello, I recently started playing the Wonder Hornpipe again.

I also noticed(I am quiet sure at least..), that a variation of it is played in this wonderful set, together with the Independence Hornpipe, in a really nice swinging way:

I would love to introduce such a nice swinging set to my local session. But I am quiet sure, that the Independence
Hornpipe is too hard for us.

I would really appreciate it, if someone could give me an idea, wich other hornpipe I could include in this set !
Thanks for your help 🙂

"The Golden Eagle" and "The Wonder" are two very different tunes, no?

Yes your probably right, I just listened to the Youtube track and heard the Golden Eagle so presumed that is what was meant. I am quite good at making cock ups on this site!

To quote a melodeon player from round here:

Ah yes, the Wonder Hornpipe, as in "I wonder what the chords are to that second part?"

Re: "swinging" set with the Wonder Hornpipe ?

We play The Honeysuckle Hornpipe in D before The Wonder, it’s a nice hornpipe and not hard. And ditto to Aidan’s comment about the backup chords : )

Thanks for the suggestions. And ouh, yeah, seems like I confused this two hornpipes ! Thanks for the correction!
