Session search - what’s the secret?

Session search - what’s the secret?

We were at a great session in The Panton Arms, Cambridge,UK, last night (Thursday). It’s on The Session, but isn’t found if one is specific i.e. if one ticks Thursdays and Cambridge,UK. It does, however, appear if one writes Cambridge, England.
I don’t think I’ll be seeking any sessions in Sheffield, E.U. somehow…or Caithness, G.B. for that matter. Harrumph!

Re: Session search - what’s the secret?

The search treats the four constituent countries separately, I guess, so you’d type "Caithness, Scotland". A little odd but, to me, not too crazy. To find sessions in the USA you generally do the same thing (i.e., Boston, Massachusetts, not Boston, USA) although I’ve not tried that.

Re: Session search - what’s the secret?

Submitting sessions in the UK by constituent country makes sense, given the subject matter of this site. But perhaps Jeremy could write a small wangle (I don’t know the technical term - sorry) into the search engine so that a search on "UK" returns results from all or any of the four countries.
