anybody know any nice cds or youtube clips of guitar players playing reels/jigs?
i have heard the likes of arty mcglynn and a few others and was just wondering if anyone else is at it, thanks

Dave Flynn on his CD Contemporary Traditional Irish Guitar. One guitar playing tunes without any accompaniment.
And as far as i can recall, Anna Massie plays also Tunes on the guitar.

I think Dick Gaughan was one of the first to play jigs, reels, hornpipes and other traditional Irish dance music up to speed on guitar. This isn’t new, his CD, Coppers and Brass, was first copyright in 1977. Even so, I think it’s still one of the better examples of this kind of playing. You can listen to some samples here:
