What is name of waltz combined with Ffarwell i’r marian on youtube?

I found Ffarwell i‘r marian on this site. Looked for it on youtube and found it combined with a waltz not mentioned on the Ffarwell i’r marian page. The tune starts at ~ 1:31 on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbR10wfbD2M . I’ve transcribed it into ABC if that helps:

Round these parts we play Bwlch Llanberis together with a tune called Charlotte Russe.

😉

i was playing the tune with jonathan shorland when bob evans walked in. you’ve taken a bara brith & turned it into a charlotte russe, he said. we were playing it at the time with a bar added, giving 7 & 6 in the first part.

“we were playing it at the time with a bar added”

Or just a couple of extra beats (bars 2 and 6 in 4/4, the rest in 3/4)? Like on Cico’r Nyth Cacwn?

We play it as a straight 3/4. It was introduced that way from the Upper Tawe Valley, carrying the title ‘Bynsen’.

yes, beats not bars, you’re right, corn. i think we called it bunsen when jonathan & i re-recorded it in the symmetrical way. keeping things in the bakehouse…
