Can you identify the name of this tune please?

Can you identify the name of this tune please?

The Malachy Doris Ceili Band
The Cottage on the Old Dungannon Road

At 21.30 after “Girls of Banbridge” and before “Tobin’s Favourite”.

Someone told me it was “The Old Rakes of Kildare”, but that doesn’t seem to be correct.
Any thoughts?
Cheers.

It’s a version of “The Rakes Of Kildare”, but in G major. I have a recording of Willie Clancy playing it on a compilation CD somewhere. The tune is used for a song by Dominic Behan called “Thank God We’re Surrounded By Water”, [ recorded by “The Ludlows”, and “The Dubliners” in the 1960s ], and it is often played as a waltz.

Thanks Kenny.
I’ve puzzled over this tune for years, and of course I’ve heard Ronnie Drew sing this song, but putting the two together never occurred.
That recording by Malachy Doris via Outlet way back in 1972 must be the worst liner notes I have ever come across. Mistakes, omissions and total fabrications. Good band though..!!
Cheers.
